About
I'm Laura Krause, Founder of J. Taylor Media. I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, graduated from Ball State University with a degree in advertising, and am proud to say I fit the stereotype of a Midwesterner to a T. Growing up, I was surrounded by people who were kind and genuine; who meant what they said and honored their commitments. Hard work was not an obligation; it was a privilege and a handshake was as good as a contract. Those formative influences, initially at home and in school, and later in my first jobs, stayed with me. Even very early in my career, I treated my job as my own business, and I considered my clients an extension of that business. Their success was my success.
My roles as a Media Buyer and broadcast television Account Executive allowed me to get to know all aspects of this business from the inside out. That time provided an invaluable and deep network of business contacts. But I soon realized I couldn't best serve my clients if I wasn't able to deliver full-spectrum solutions and services. Founding J. Taylor Media back in 2011 allowed me to finally offer the whole package - comprehensive, results-oriented advertising campaigns with lower acquisition costs, combined with effective messaging and media placement. I represent businesses from a variety of industries with vastly different goals - but they all have one thing in common: a need for customized advertising and media solutions to maximize their growth. My goal is to spend every dollar as if it were my own; provide honest campaign recommendations, expert research and data analysis; and make media buying and advertising headaches GO AWAY!
Today, my location has changed. I do miss Indiana and enjoy visiting, but I LOVE living and working in South Florida and taking advantage of year-round sunshine for beaching and boating with my husband and our two incredible girls.
My workday has changed. Owning my own business lets me work from anywhere, meet my clients anywhere, and buy anywhere, including markets all over the country, not just locally.
My clients have changed. I represent local brick and mortar business owners in the tri-county area as well as major newspaper chains across the country.
But what matters most remains UNchanged – my unwavering commitment to my clients and the relationships that develop from working together. They are the primary reason I love my work so much, they are the "why" of why I do what I do.
